Wellness Protocol

For the duration of your tour, you will be accompanied by your Orbridge Travel Director as well as local guides. Be aware that some areas visited on tour may experience staffing constraints occurring in the tourism and hospitality sectors at this time. Your Tour Director will keep you apprised throughout your trip to help ensure an uninterrupted tour experience as best as possible. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in the event that you experience longer wait times at restaurants, hotels, and sites visited on tour.

It is highly recommended that you purchase travel insurance that covers COVID-19-related occurrences, understand the details of COVID-specific coverage, and be prepared to make arrangements to extend your stay for longer than planned.

Tour Participation Requirement: Vaccination

We are requiring all guests to have either two doses of the Pfizer/Moderna COVID-19 vaccine or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. These can be administered at any point, so long as they are done no less than two weeks prior to arrival on tour. Guests are required to bring and present a paper or digital copy of their COVID-19 vaccination card, including any boosters. This requirement will be verified by the on-tour Travel Director. This policy is subject to change depending on conditions and guidance available at the time of scheduled travel. All travelers, including Orbridge Travel Directors, will be required to follow this protocol.

Destination Specific Wellness Protocols:

Return to the U.S.

Testing for COVID-19 is at the discretion of each guest and Orbridge. Local authorities do not require testing. In Italy, if a test result is positive, guests are required to self-isolate for five days. Guests on tour are encouraged to wear a mask for their own protection and the protection of others, especially when in close quarters with others.

People who have tested positive for COVID-19 are subjected to the following isolation measurements:

In the event that you test positive for COVID-19 at any point while on tour or before returning home, guests are responsible for any costs associated with quarantine. Italy requires a mandatory quarantine of five days after testing positive per the Italian Health Ministry. You are required to stay in isolation for five days.

  • For cases that have always been asymptomatic and for those who have not shown symptoms for at least two days, isolation may end five days after the first positive test or the appearance of symptoms, regardless of whether the antigen or molecular test has been performed.

  • For cases that have always been asymptomatic, isolation may end even before five days if an antigen or molecular test carried out at a health facility/pharmacy is negative.

  • At the end of isolation, the use of FFP2 masks is mandatory up to the 10th day from the onset of symptoms or from the first positive test (in the case of asymptomatic), and it is in any case recommended to avoid high-risk people and/or crowded environments. These precautions can be discontinued in the event of a negative antigen or molecular test.
