Day 2: Arrive in Athens, Greece | Piraeus – Embarkation
Tuesday, April 8, 2025
Upon arriving at Athens International Airport an Orbridge representative will be waiting to assist with your transfer to the Port of Piraeus for embarkation.

Le Dumont-d'Urville is a masterpiece of luxury cruising. This floating haven features spacious and elegantly appointed staterooms and impeccably designed public spaces. As embarkation begins, take time to unpack and become familiar with your accommodations.

Among the vessel's unique features is the Blue Eye Lounge, an innovative and immersive underwater observation area featuring large, curved windows that provide views of the subaquatic environment. The lounge is a multi-sensory experience—you can feel the ocean's vibrations through the seats and listen for marine sounds using the hydrophone headsets. Visit the reception desk on board to schedule time to visit the Blue Eye Lounge, as hours of operation vary and guest capacity is limited.

This evening gather with fellow travel companions for a special welcome reception to celebrate the exciting journey ahead.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (R,D)

Day 3: Delos | Mykonos
Wednesday, April 9, 2025
After breakfast disembark for a guided archaeological tour of Delos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Terrace of the Lions is one of the most iconic and recognizable features of Delos. Dating back to the 7th century BC, this terrace served as a grand entrance to the Sanctuary of Apollo, symbolizing the sacred nature of the island. The terrace originally consisted of a row of imposing marble lions, each standing guard in a majestic formation. These lions, sculpted with exquisite craftsmanship, were dedicated by the people of Naxos to Apollo. While the original lions are now displayed in the Delos Archaeological Museum to preserve them from the elements, replicas stand proudly on the terrace, providing visitors with a glimpse into the island's ancient glory.

Continue to the majestic Temple of Apollo, a sacred edifice that played a central role in the island's religious and cultural life. Originally constructed in the 5th century BC, the temple was dedicated to Apollo, the god of light, music and prophecy. Observe the temple's imposing columns and remnants, including the altar where sacrifices were made in honor of Apollo.

At the Theatre District, an area of affluence, see the different mosaics that adorned the floors of the Hellenistic houses of Dionysus, Cleopatra and Dioscuri.

Later enjoy leisure time to discover Mykonos, a charming island known for its role in Greek mythology and as a key trading port. Weave through cobbled streets of the pedestrian center, admiring the colorful bougainvillea and panoramic coastline.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (B,L,D)

Day 4: Santorini
Thursday, April 10, 2025
Located on the southern coast of Santorini rests Akrotiri, considered one of the most well-planned and advanced cities of its time. Buried in lava stone after the catastrophic volcanic eruption that occurred around 1627 BC, the site was discovered in 1967 by archaeologist Spyridon Marinatos. Excavations have revealed a wealth of artifacts, including pottery, tools and other objects that indicate a sophisticated level of craftsmanship and trade relations. One of the highlights of Akrotiri is its stunning frescoes, showcasing vibrant and detailed artwork. The frescoes depict scenes of daily life, nature and religious rituals, offering a glimpse into the Minoan culture and aesthetics.

Following lunch, enjoy free time on the island or choose to join an optional winery tour and tasting excursion. Santorini's volcanic soil contributes to the unique character of its wines. The soil is rich in minerals, which impart distinct flavors and a sense of terroir to the grapes.

After dinner stop by the theater for live entertainment—perhaps a dance performance, live concert or a film on the big screen.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (B,L,D)

Day 5: Rhodes
Friday, April 11, 2025
Today set off on a guided walking tour through the medieval city of Rhodes, which became the stronghold of the Knights of Rhodes during the Crusades. Completely encircled by impressive fortified walls, the interior's cobblestone thoroughfare is lined with structures that once housed the various knightly orders. The narrow, labyrinthine streets now feature traditional tavernas and artisan shops, providing a chance to sample local cuisine and purchase handmade crafts.

This afternoon join the optional guided walking tour to the picturesque Acropolis of Lindos in Rhodes, perched majestically on a rocky promontory overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea.

At the heart of the Acropolis stands the Temple of Athena Lindia, an architectural masterpiece dating back to the 4th century BC. Its imposing columns and Byzantine church are remnants of the original knights' citadel.

Excursion note: The Acropolis is only accessible via footpath that is about one mile long and includes approximately 300 steps. A good level of physical fitness is required.

Returning to the ship, delight in another gourmet dinner crafted from locally sourced ingredients, expertly paired with exquisite wines.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (B,L,D)

Day 6: Kuşadasi, Türkiye
Saturday, April 12, 2025
This morning we arrive at Kuşadasi, the gateway to the ancient city of Ephesus, which was an important center of trade and commerce in the Roman period. Ephesus has a rich history dating back to the 10th century BC. It was initially an Ionian Greek city but later came under Roman rule, becoming one of the largest and most prosperous cities in the Roman Empire. One of Ephesus' most iconic structures, the Library of Celsus, was built in the 2nd century AD. It served as a monumental tomb for Gaius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus and housed over 12,000 scrolls.

The ancient agora was the heart of Ephesus, serving as a marketplace and a gathering spot for social and political activities. Explore the ruins of shops, temples and public areas that once buzzed with activity.

Later visit a carpet weaving center followed by a traditional Turkish lunch.

This afternoon enjoy leisure time to explore Kuşadasi's seafront promenade, harbor, beaches and variety of boutiques.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (B,L,D)

Day 7: Turkish Coast Cruising
Sunday, April 13, 2025
Savor a full day of leisure on board as you cruise north along the coast to Çanakkale. Indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment (additional fees apply), take a dip in the pool, unwind in the lounge, or simply relax on deck to capture the remarkable landscape passing by.

Later in the afternoon, retreat to the main lounge for snacks and beverages accompanied by live music.
Overnight: Le Dumont-d'Urville (B,L,D)

Day 8: Çanakkale
Monday, April 14, 2025
After breakfast disembark in Çanakkale on the edge of the Dardanelles Strait. During the Byzantine Empire, this narrow waterway played a vital role in defending Constantinople (Istanbul) from potential invaders. This strait has been a crucial maritime passage since ancient times, serving as a key trade route connecting the Mediterranean Sea with the Black Sea.

At the harbor, observe the contemporary sculpture of an immense wooden horse, depicting Odysseus’ legendary scheme to take Troy.

Continue to the archaeological site of Troy, a UNESCO World Heritage site and location of the legendary Trojan War, as described in Homer's Iliad.

Next visit the Archaeological Museum to discover artifacts found during the excavations made in the ancient city.

After lunch, join the optional excursion to the ancient city of Assos, a Greek colony founded in the 7th century BC by settlers from the island of Lesbos. Well-preserved remnants of city walls showcase the ancient fortifications that once protected Assos. Continue to the Temple of Athena, a Doric-style temple dedicated to the goddess Athena constructed in the 6th century BC.

The final evening on board, gather for a lively farewell reception followed by a convivial gala dinner to commemorate this epic odyssey cruising the Aegean Sea.
