Program Highlights:
    • Set out on a comprehensive guided tour of Bogotá—Colombia's capital city and cosmopolitan center—with a visit to Paloquemao, one of the country's largest and most important markets, plus a stop at the historic center, La Candelaria.
    • View the largest collection of pre-Columbian gold at the Gold Museum, with galleries featuring pieces dating back nearly 2,500 years.
    • Stroll through the Botero Museum to peruse artwork and sculptures by Fernando Botero, Colombia’s most famous contemporary artist, highlighted by a visit with Botero's grandson, Felipe.
    • Outside the small town of Zipaquirá, take an underground tour through the famous Salt Cathedral, carved inside an active salt mine that formed 250 million years ago. A place of pilgrimage for the local community, the cathedral is an extraordinary feat of architectural design and engineering.
    • In Medellín, engage in a discussion about Pablo Escobar, plus discover the city's social transformation and how the inspirationally modern public transportation system has impacted residents.
