Banff to Vancouver by Rail
From your glass-domed seat aboard the Rocky Mountaineer, see magnificent mountains, dramatic canyons and monumental landmarks as you traverse the Continental Divide by rail. Continue along Kicking Horse River, Shuswap Lake, and Fraser Canyon, and end your journey in the sparkling city of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Day 7: Banff / Rocky Mountaineer / Kamloops
Following breakfast, your Orbridge Expedition Leader will bid you farewell after you are settled at the train station. Board the Rocky Mountaineer and enjoy a regionally inspired lunch on your way to Kamloops. Travel westward toward Shuswap Lake and admire its many miles of shoreline, and traverse the Continental Divide as you ride along Kicking Horse River. Disembark the train to spend the night in Kamloops. Your main luggage will be delivered to your accommodations which are determined by Rocky Mountaineer.

Day 8: Kamloops / Rocky Mountaineer / Vancouver
Enjoy breakfast and lunch on board the Rocky Mountaineer as you follow the fertile Thompson Valley and Fraser Canyon. Upon arrival to Vancouver, a representative will greet you at the train station and assist you to your hotel.
Overnight: Fairmont Hotel Vancouver (B,L)

Day 9: Vancouver
With a day at leisure, take time to explore beautiful Vancouver, perhaps venturing to the waterfront, Chinatown, or Stanley Park.

Day 10: Depart Vancouver for U.S.
After breakfast, guests departing during the suggested time take the complimentary transfer to Vancouver International Airport for flights home. (B)

Accommodations for the first night of the post-tour in Kamloops are determined by Rocky Mountaineer. Kamloops properties are considered moderate 2- or 3-star hotels or motor inns, satisfy our standards of cleanliness and comfort, and are the best available in the area.

Fairmont Hotel Vancouver

This opulent gem, known as the “Castle in the City,” quickly became a landmark in Vancouver after opening in 1939. The hotel has hosted many famous entertainment acts over the years and was once even home to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Recently renovated, the property features distinguished restaurants and lounges, health club, indoor pool, and spa.

Room Amenities: individual climate control, pillow top bed, flat-screen HDTV, Wi-Fi (additional fee), terry cloth robes, coffee and tea maker, minibar, iron and ironing board, and en suite bathroom with sundries and hair dryer.
