Day +5: Mesa Verde National Park / Durango / Flight to Phoenix, AZ / Scottsdale/ Main Program Begins
Wednesday, October 13, 2021
Following breakfast, transfer to Durango-La Plata County Airport for the flight to Phoenix to join fellow travelers on the main program. (B)
B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner
Pre-tour space is limited, so it's recommended to reserve early for best availability.
The majority of the program’s activities will take place outdoors and a fair amount of walking on varying terrain is to be expected. Many of the parks have dirt trails—but they are usually fairly smooth for walking—and some do have paved pathways and boardwalks. It is our expectation that guests on this pre-tour are able to walk up and down a flight of stairs, and get in and out of a motor coach without assistance. To enjoy all of the activities, guests will need to be able to climb three 10-foot ladders and walk up and down uneven, steep stairs. Activities take place at a high eleveation. You will experience elevations between 7,000 and 8,500 feet at Mesa Verde, with lodging at 8,200 feet. Individual tolerance for altitude varies from person to person.
