The Galapagos Islands

What Guests Are Saying...

“The crew of the ship were all very friendly and helpful. I especially appreciated the attention that the Panga crews gave to their responsibilities, for example, when we were snorkeling and when we were disembarking and landing.

The food was excellent. I especially enjoyed all the fresh fish. It was fun to experience authentic Ecuadorian cuisine.

We had an excellent naturalist. Her knowledge is phenomenal and her attitude is extremely professional.”
–Pam & Jim W., Dallas, TX
“The Galapagos Islands are like being in paradise. What made the time there really great were the naturalists. They were extremely well-informed about every aspect of the Islands. The crew on the ship were superior as well... and the food!”
–Bonnie W., New Orleans, LA
“I have traveled to 19 countries. This Galapagos trip was the best one ever!

All of our excursions were wonderful. I enjoyed them and learned a lot!

Our chief naturalist was an amazing leader and an excellent person to give us so much information about the wildlife and about everything. We all really liked him a lot!

I certainly will go on future Orbridge trips. I was very happy with every aspect of the trip, from the initial planning until we returned home.”
–Barbara M., Memphis, TN
“The Orbridge staff was responsive and professional. The information in the documents was clear and thorough.

Honestly, as much as I loved the animals and the guests, our Chief Naturalists were two of my favorite aspects of the entire trip. Their enthusiasm was infectious as well as their fascination with the animals, plants, climate, geology, and history of the Galapagos.

This was my first trip with a sponsoring university and it far, far exceeded what I could have possibly wished for. All the guests raved about the experience and were thrilled with the trip. Several commented about how organized everything was, how cared for they felt, how amazing the naturalists were, and how good the "bang for the buck" the trip was.”
–Elizabeth P., Alexandria, VA
“It was a fabulous trip—one of the best in our history of travels. It is obvious that your company put a lot of thought and planning into this adventure.

The ship staff and crew were most helpful. The Zodiac panga operators were attentive to what was happening with each person in the boat. The cabins were always cleaned and tidy when we returned from each day's adventure. We have been on several cruises on larger ships and the Isabella II staterooms/cabins were actually large and better laid out than what we had experienced on bigger ships.

We were both so glad we did the Machu Picchu extension. What an adventure! I can't say enough good things about our expedition leader. He was all around excellent and knowledgeable. He has a wealth of knowledge on the Incan history as well as their architecture, building methods, why they built Machu Picchu and how it functioned as a community.”
–Paul P., Topeka, KS
“The tour of Old Town was a real highlight. We enjoyed all of the stops and lunch was fabulous.

Food was outstanding and the wine was plentiful. Service was very attentive. The Ecuadorian meal was delicious and a real treat.

The guide promised us the trip of a lifetime and he and his team delivered! Every effort was made to ensure that travelers saw as much as possible, including an impromptu stargazing discussion. The attention to safety was much appreciated. All three naturalists were outstanding and delivered a huge amount of information ongoing.”
–Karen & Scott B., Colorado Springs, CO
“The Isabela itself—boat and crew—were superb and so was the food. The guides were also great. And on the Machu Picchu extension, we LOVED the Sonesta Posadas del Inca, the Inkaterra in Machu Picchu, and the Aranwa Boutique Hotel in Cusco.”
–Kae H., Seattle, WA
“If there was a category higher than excellent I would have used it. The naturalists were superb. The pace was perfect... never rushed... just enough down time to rally for the next activity.

The ship was lovely... the staff including the naturalists were so delightful and helpful to be around.

This was our first Orbridge experience and it far exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this exact trip, through Orbridge, to anyone who will listen. I may have to repeat it myself.”
–John M., Portland, OR

I want you to know that this trip far exceeded what I thought might be for the trip. Thank you for the great planning and service throughout the whole trip.”
