Don Arcangelo all’Olmo: a private villa escape

Orbridge is excited to feature the private villa of Don Arcangelo all’Olmo as the distinguished property of its Flavors of Sicily travel program, which offers guests an unforgettable week of luxurious accommodations, cultural immersion, and outstanding food and wine.

Situated serenely on the eastern coast of Sicily, between Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea—and near the delightful town of Taormina—Don Arcangelo all’Olmo's 24-guest capacity provides patrons an atmosphere of exclusivity—that feeling of having the surroundings nearly all to one’s self.

Lovingly known as L’Olmo, it's a Think Exquisite property from the award-winning villa company, The Thinking Traveller. Once a farm building on a wine-producing estate, L'Olmo was painstakingly restored to create the grand villa that exists today.

Dating back to the early 1700s, with several structures built in the mid-19th century, L’Olmo’s present owners—the Marquis and Marquess Paterno’ Castello di San Giuliano—recently completed renovations to overcome almost a century of decline. The skill, patience, and dedication put into the restoration project are reflected in the stylish, modern, and exquisitely appointed rooms, inviting lounges, and charming dining area, along with its equally stunning gardens, walkways, and fragrant lemon orchard.

Guest rooms are located in two buildings—Casale, the main building, and Casa all’Olmo, a beautifully restored farmhouse located next door. Each provide en-suite accommodations featuring antique furnishings. The villa's common areas include modern amenities like an outdoor heated pool, Jacuzzi, complimentary internet, and fitness room.

The villa's cuisine is like no other, carefully prepared by skilled chefs using locally sourced ingredients, and paired with an impressive selection of wine from the villa’s cellars—guests will undoubtedly savor the exquisite flavors created for each meal.

Join an upcoming Flavors of Sicily departure to experience for yourself the impeccable service, accommodations, and scenery provided by L'Olmo. And set out for daily excursions to explore the surrounding area—including Taormina, Catania, Mount Etna, and Siracusa. Explore the extensive archaeological and UNESCO World Heritage sites of the area, visit wineries for tours and tastings, peruse local markets and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere that makes this island and its residents so special.
